The Back Story

As a kid, Kelly used to watch her brother play baseball and idolise him. She is fascinated with the idea of team work and believes this is what Hong Kong needs under the current socio-political climate. At first glance, the looks are theatrical with sports-inspired shoulders and patchwork, and colour contrasts in primary colours, but the individual items can be worn separately for everyday mix and match. A tartan is compressed to create a leather-like texture that seamlessly merges with the upper body, symbolically linking up Hong Kong’s past and present in the spirit of unity. The collection offers a unique take on girl power by taking inspiration from male-dominated sports.
